Morgantown Operations Our Morgantown Operations are totally integrated facilities for titanium scrap recycling, Electron Beam Cold Hearth Refining (EBCHR), Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR), and casting of titanium and other specialty metals. For industrial and aerospace applications, we direct cast refined metal into a variety of remelt and starting stock products in various alloys.
Vallejo Operations Our Vallejo Operations offer advanced Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) and EBCHR melting and refining technologies with responsive, flexible service, to produce high quality, superclean specialty metal alloys. In conjunction with the Morgantown Operation, Vallejo also offers cost-effective scrap recycling of most forms of titanium, nickel and cobalt casting scrap into valuable, reusable raw material. Setting the standards for clean metal and consistent quality. At all of TIMET’s hearth melting operations, quality is of the utmost importance. Because our products are so far upstream in the manufacturing cycle, built-in quality is essential. Quality Control and Assurance begin by confirming incoming scrap chemistry and continue with monitoring each melting, refining and casting step, using the latest sensors and analytical instruments. The process is adjusted to meet customer requirements according to chemical analysis at regular intervals and statistical quality control procedures which track trends. To assure reproducibility, we strictly adhere to fixed practice agreements with our customers. We meet or exceed customer expectations through clear assignment of responsibility, proper training, elimination of planned deviation and continuous quality improvement of our systems, processes and products.
