AIRCRAFT QUALITY STRIP
Strip produced for the aerospace industry is made to AMS and/or military specifications and is defined as a flat,
unidirectionally rolled product less than 3/16 inches (4.8 mm) thick. TIMET strip is produced by cold-rolling
titanium in coil form and can be sold either as coil or cut length.
TIMET is the acknowledged leader in titanium strip production. Our facilities are specifically designed to work
with titanium. Two key examples are TIMET's Sendzimir cold-rolling mill and our continuous strip vacuum
annealing equipment, unique in the industry.
TIMET supplies strip as thin as 0.012 inches (0.31 mm). Maximum width and length are dependent on several
factors (i.e., condition, grade, finish, thickness), but widths to 48 inches (1219 mm) and cut lengths to 144
inches (3658 mm) are common.
TIMET can provide strip to standard dimensional tolerance specifications.

TIMET strip is available in both aerospace and industrial quality grades and specifications. TIMET industrial
strip is also guaranteed to meet boiler code (ASME SB265) specifications and, therefore, is specified as
CodeRoll.
TIMET supplies sheet and strip as this as 0.012 inches (.31 mm). Maximum width and length are dependent on

TIMET can provide strip to standard AMS, MIL, or ASTM dimensional tolerance specifications and often supply
material to tighter customer specifications upon request.
